So here it is! The big reveal of one of the big projects I’ve been so lucky enough to be a part of in the last few weeks! Forever 21 is FINALLY officially opening a giganormous shop in Causeway Bay! It’s actually been open for a couple of months now but with the last finishing touches being constructed on RIGHT THE SECOND, the big grand opening shebang is this coming week and it’s going to majurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I’m such a tomboy at heart. Everyone always says that right? Like “Oh when I was young I was such an ugly tomboy”..ok when I say everyone I really just mean super pretty “models” and actresses who yknow, have “grown” out of their ugly phase. Don’t get me wrong, I love me an a-line poofy high-waisted granny style skirt with some serious heels but really, me in some cool camo pants, a tshirt and a sweet jacket and that’ll be my happiest. When I’m getting dressed, I always make sure I balance out the tomboy-ness with a hit of girlyness: loose cuffed trousers with sweet leopard print flats or a long girly maxi skirt with messed up Vans on my feet.

A couple of weeks ago Will from BDGA store in Boston contacted me to do a feature and all my former “sneakerfiend/streetwear” goosebumps we’re back and full of excitement. Immediately I headed for the cool as chips Bodega Varsity Jacket which was perfect cos I’d been wanting a baseball jacket for years now. When I received the jacket, you have no idea how excited I was to find the secret camo lining! I’m pretty sure my love for camo print is quite obvious now and my obsession is probably only going to become even crazier! I styled the jacket with of course my favourite camo pants and to strike the balance between boy and girl, I stomped around in my H&M x Marni platforms and accessorized with a vintage Chanel purse and my new super cool Henry Holland x Le Specs muffin shades.

This is as all-white as I’d ever go. I don’t think I can really pull it off so I broke it up with some floral pants (the only white bottoms I own) and threw my trusty army jacket over the top. Like I said, blogs are just a fraction of someone’s life and really all photos are so staged and put together so this last photo above is a more accurate depiction of what I’m really like: always a bit unsure and actually quite retarded.

Last week I took a late lunch break and headed up to the FCC to check out the Marc Jacobs SS12 presentation. It was a bit crowded with photographs and reporters so I didn’t really get the chance to see the clothes or the “celebrity models” that close up but the venue was gorgeous and I remembered all the pretty headscarves and cropped jackets from the show back in September last year. There was an area for sitting and everyone was given a cute plate of canapés and pastries, too bad I was on my detox and couldn’t touch any of it ): OH yah, I also redid my hair again last week, it’s a much richer and deeper blue now yay!
