The analogue king in Hong Kong, Lomography is running a little fun competition for bloggers in HK called Loblography! I was super excited to take part in the fun little competition where basically LomographyHK lent out La Sardina cameras to 10 bloggers and we were given about 2 weeks to basically bond and have fun with the camera! I already have about 10 lomo cameras so the analogue world isn’t too foreign to me but I had yet to try the semi-new La Sardina! Firstly, I love the design of the camera..very classic but fun. I chose the CUBIC graphic printed version with the detachable flash to take with me on my trip to NY! I didn’t end up taking too many shots in NY nor in HK simply cos of time and some other issues but nonetheless, I still managed to shoot two rolls on the 35mm film camera!

Do any of you guys shoot with Lomo cameras too? Which ones?? They’re so fun right! I should take mine out more! My favourites are the Fisheye2 and the Holga35!

So yesterday was my birthday guyzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really really lucky that I got to celebrate 3 days in a row, starting on June 30th, the day BEFORE my birthday. After work we headed out for Happy Hour drinks with my friends at HYDE (zzz) then we moved on to PURE restaurant in Soho! Good bar food, lots of drinks and fun times were had all around and also thanks to Valerie for stopping by! Yay bLoGgEr FrIeNdS RuLe~~~

The next day, my actual birthday, I just spent the afternoon relaxing with PB and getting myself a new 2TB hardrive hahaha. We capped my chill birthday with dinner with my family at Ye Shanghai in Marco Polo Hotel. Soooooooo yum and although I hardly ever eat spicy things, I could totally do with a jar of their XO sauce!! Nanz bought me (more like bought for herself!) a DOUBLE FUDGE BROWNIE cake from Mrs. Fields for my birthday cake!!

And finally, today the day after my actual birthday, was a major epic brunch with my girlz~~ Julie, Carmen and Alex! We went back to Spasso for the brunch buffet but this time unlimited champagne included!!! We literally were first ones there (like they wouldnt even let us in the restaurant yet) and we were practically the last ones to leave. We sat (and ate and drank) for over 4 hours hahaha but MAN was it EPIC and GOOD. I’m so stuffed right now, I could honestly pass for 4 months pregnant..but pssh what else is new huh?

Wore the outfit above today for brunch since the maxi skirt is quite loose and I knew would be vital in concealing my food baby. Yes yes it’s the exact same skirt I’m wearing in my previous post but I love it and it’s so fun when the wind blows and woOOoooOOoooO my skirt billows in the wind hahahahaha I’m also really happy with my denim shirt which I just recently got from Topshop (sold in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford). I’ve been searching high and low for a loose-fitting short sleeve darkish denim top for ages and was almost going to get a vintage men’s shirt and hack off the sleeves BUT luckily I found this instead since I’d probably be too lazy to do that DIY sleeve thing…

This past few weeks have been chock full of stuff happening! My two awesome friends from New York are visiting (and documenting their trip here!) for about 3 weeks (only few more days left T.T) so we’ve been out doing tons of stuff (mostly eating). Last weekend we had an epic junk boat trip which is a typical Hong Kong Summer thing and then the following day we spent the whole day at Ocean Park. After those two days, I was officially exhauuusted.

Me and PB are super grandmas and grandpas – we are all about the early bird specials. A typical Friday and Saturday night for us consists of an early dinner followed by heading home for a movie/show/ps3/tumblr/blogs. Sometimes we find ourselves ready for bed at 9pm…yeah we are totally granny homebodies. So you can only imagine how epic these past few weeks and this weekend was for us haha. It was great though to catch up with friends and to feel young once again hahaha.

Well anyway so this weekend was two of my really great friends’ birthdays! On Friday for Carmen’s birthday we had yummy Spanish food at Rico’s and then headed out for drinks after! The night ended up being super fun and Carmen for suuuure made some new friends hahahahah. Then last night, Saturday, we all dressed up in our fancies for Alex’s birthday dinner at Peking Garden (zzzzomg peking duck!) and then headed for drinks at Zuma after!

Wearing my new bright orange MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good to Go. It took me ages but I finally found the PERFECT bright orange lipstick for my skintone. It’s a bit outrageous/extreme for everyday wear but definitely something fun and bright for a good day out! Better pics in daylight next time!

Here’s a close-up shot I took when I got home of my necklace. It’s a metal necklace/chocker type thing with a really cool clasp – very Margiela-like. Can you believe it’s from H&M? Also available as a gold/silver bracelet (which duh, I got too)!

I hardly post pics of my ~daily life~ but that’s cos not much happens apart from lots of eating and working so these were definitely something different! Shame about the quality of the photos but it’s such a pain bringing around a big camera, especially when there would be drinks involved!
