Dunno if anyone has noticed but for the last 2 months or so, I’ve been wearing my new matte tortoise Warren glasses from SPEX Club! Oh just tried to link to the Warrens online but apparently they’ve discontinued that style! You can try go for the Hobbs or Apprentice instead! Oh just realised on their site that SPEX CLUB (cute cute name) has actually changed their name to LOOKMATIC now! Weird! Anyway, I ordered 2 pairs through the refinery29 Reserve deal a couple of months ago so I got the Warrens, and PB got the tortoise FDRs.

A couple of weeks ago I attended the preview of the latest Tangram collection at Whitespace and spotted this ultra-cool and stylish girl. I loved her vintage looking skirt with the ripped/cutoff sleeves blouse paired with her amazing Alexander Wang bag and super cool ACNE wedges. Seriously loved everything about this look even her carefree super cool attitude..le sighhhh

Again, sometime in the last few weeks I headed out to the newly opened department store CENTRAL/CENTRAL (the old HMV in Landmark, Central) to support Priscilla, Cindy and Tania! The new store houses different brands such as Karen Millen, Steve Madden and others and for the launch, HKHQ.tv filmed a video featuring Cindy and Tania and styled by Priscilla! Make sure you go and check out the incredibly cool space (outfitted by Omar Khan Collective) and go watch the video!

In the photobooth photos above can you tell them I’m wearing my new DIY spike headband? I didn’t bring my camera out that night so didn’t get any good pictures. I love that it’s kind of girly and ladylike (I neverrrr wear headbands cos of that) but the spikes totally adds a touch of HARDCORE to the look. I’d be happy to make some for you so whoever is interested in buying one, please email me ONLY!

The bunch of necklaces I’ve been wearing lately: a black DIY cross necklace, my mom’s old gold wedding ring and a ring with my BFF Julie on a gold Kenneth Jay Lane chain and lastly, my skull pearl from my mom’s pearl collection: Susan Sng. (Email her for inquiries!)

My ombré hombré bombré nails that I just did just now out of boredom. If you are planning on doing this, make sure you use some cheap clear nail polish for the blending cos the colours WILL fuck it up when you keep reapplying the clear one.

About a month ago I headed out for some post-work sale shopping with JJ theWanderlister+, Tania and Mandy to the Pedder Warehouse Sale in Times Square. The first pair of shoes I picked up were these navy blue Mary Jane by Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony. I didn’t see anything else I liked and these were such a good deal that I really couldn’t bear to put them down..so I ended up getting them! It only came with one bow since these are from the warehouse but I would’ve taken them off anyway! I still haven’t worn them yet..but I’m already expecting some sort of swollen/bruised ankle from a fall that is bound to happen in these. The huge platform helps with the height but still..this shit is super high!

And lastly, it’s already a week into November but the weather in HK is still soooo hot. Seriously, we’re all still in t-shirts and Christing even went to sunbathe at the beach today! That’s how hot it is!!! Guhhhhh I’m dying for Winter and all the fun layering and jackets that come along with it. Anyway above are some winter jacket picks from ASOS that I would love to have in my closet…I’m really really considering the navajo parka and the contrasting fur jacket – both don’t seem toooo thick for HK but I’ll wait to see what I can buy on my upcoming trip to….New York!! ;)

ASOS x HK BLOGGERS TEA PARTY

FINALLY, after a couple months of talking and arranging, I am finally happy to tell you guys about a fun little collaborative project between ASOS (the uber amazing online shopping mecca) and a bunch of us HK Fashion Bloggers! Omg I have SO much to say aboutthis awesome project so please bear with me!

The amazing ASOS x HK Bloggers Tea Party was held last Sunday on September 25th with 5 of my favourite Hong Kong fashion bloggers along with myself. The idea behind this unique project was to take the collaboration between social media in Asia and global fashion retailers a step further, from a standard affiliate program to a more subtle partnership.

Apart from myself, the other bloggers included were Sam from Sam is Home, Tania from T Like Bubble Tea, Sybil from The Style Voyager, Christing from Fashion Hedonism and lastly, Geneva from A Pair and a Spare. Along with our mix of styles and backgrounds, the ASOS X HK blogger tea party allowed us to indulge in the tea customs of two distinct cultures: afternoon high tea as enjoyed by the British and dim-sum, a meal devoured over in Chinese customs with friends and family.

The intimate little tea party was held at Tania’s amazing (I’ve used that word too many times already in one post) magazine-like apartment in the heart of Central where it was transformed into a picturesque melting pot of British class with Hong Kong heart. We delighted our bellies in delicious dim-sum arranged on three-tier cake stands, homemade finger sandwiches and rich gorgeous cakes sponsored by Cafe Loisl and Vero Chocolates that were all gobbled down with the help of a variety of English and Chinese teas.

What was the point of this little tea party?
Well apart from getting together with some of my favourite fashion girls in Hong Kong and indulging ourselves silly in sweets and sugar, ASOS provided us each with all £100 for each blogger to select an outfit on their site that best reflected their style. The party doesn’t stop there though. There is also a competition for all of our readers to vote who THEY think styled the best outfit with the budget they were given AND along with the blogger who wins the most votes, a randomly picked reader will also receive £250 (YEP £250!!) to spend on the ASOS website.

Here is a breakdown of what I wore:
Motel floral midi-skirt from ASOS, Perspex box clutch from ASOS, Bolt rings and Screw Spike ring from ASOS, H&M metallic knit, Rag & Bone Mallory hiking Boots and necklaces/bracelets mostly DIY.

SO pretty right? Thanks to Sam, Sybil and Tania for working so hard to make this place look amazing.

HEADSCARF!??!?!

H&M boyfriend shorts, Zara blouse, Prada flats (super old now), Miu Miu bag and Moschino headscarf.

Pedder Red Black skull necklace, other necklaces DIY, Tag Heuer watch, DIY + random bracelets, David Yurman bangles, H&M + random rings.

Obviously my friends are awesome at focusing on my camera.

Oh so I’m testing out the headscarf! After many attempts at home, trying to make it look good on my small head, I think I finally got it right. I’m so proud of myself for wearing it all day! Apart from my glasses, I don’t really do a lot of head/hair accessories just cos I feel like it brings a lot of attention to my head and also I don’t do hats because of my irrational and unexplainable fear of it flying away and me having to run after and catch it (one of my biggest fears…). Anywayyyyy, I think my headscarf worked out alright! Not too hippie, not too hobo and not too hipster…at least that’s what I think! Going to go raid my mom’s scarf drawer now! What do you guys think of the headscarf?

Hung out with Julie and Mandy in the afternoon today. We shopped around at Monki (didn’t get anything great, just some basics) and then we were staaaaaarving so we feasted (I’m talking 4 dishes shared among the 3 of us) at Toastbox! Man I really really miss the food in Singapore. Hoping to go back soon, maybe end of Summer to see my cousin’s new baby boy!! (Yes another one!)

The other day I stopped by Zara to look out for some chiffony/flowy tops and ended up getting this really nice plain dusty pink one (like in the pic below but..pink). I really liked this cobalt blue pleated skirt but then..I think that’s just a tad too much colour for me. I posted about these awesome Zara red printed trousers on my Tumblr the other day and ended up getting them yesterday. They’re much much nicer in the picture than in real life. They’re actually quite shiny silk and when I cuff the hems, the silkiness just makes it unravel after 5 seconds. If I decide to keep them I’ll definitely need to sew up the hems! Anyway pics later if I do decide to keep them :)

My rings!

Wanted to quickly show you some of the bracelets I wear everyday. I have quite a few that I switch up and rotate around but these 3 David Yurman bangles and this random skull bracelet I definitely wear everyday. I’ll normally mix them with either some DIY chain or leather bracelets that I made or with some rhinestone bracelets or random bangles.

Also check out these two wire rings I made recently! One has a hex knut on it and the other is just plain wire.

Just had an awesome dinner and drinks after with Sam from Sam is Home and Sybil from The Style Voyager! I’ll post those pics up later..also after they post theirs cos I’m going to steal some pics since theirs will probably be nicer :D

Okay that’s all for now! I’m heading to HK Art Fair 2011 tomorrow and I’m SO EXCITED!
