Wore this outfit last week to this American Apparel pop-up shop launch thingie at my favourite place: Lane Crawford. There were tons of cute and stylish people there and I managed to photograph a few for my Hong Kong Streetstyle page at Ladylike (Coming Soon!). Unfortunately, the event also brought out every young 15 yr old teeny boppers major wannabe hipster/slut side and I swear I had never seen so many slutty YOUNG girls dressed so provocatively in Lane Crawford all at the same time. I felt like scolding all of them, demanding they pull their hemlines down and their necklines up and telling them it was way past their bedtime. But ah well, I guess we’ve all been through that phase huh?

The pop-up store itself was alright, not entirely impressed with the selection they had. I was hoping to get a few things like this and this but they didn’t have it ): My mom was the only one who ended up buying sth, cos she’s just so dang hip like that.

P.S: Don’t give me shit about the quality of these photos above, my camera doesn’t take very good low-light photos and unlike some people, I don’t spend 1000 hours photoshopping my pictures to make them professional-billboard-ready :D

Wore this outfit to..absolutely nothing. This is outside our home and it was really gross outside and it has been again the last few days. The weather is here is absolutely BONKERS…seriously on Tuesday it was about 25-30 degrees and the next day it drops down to 16. WTF?!?!?! Ugh I hate it, so unpredictable and makes it so hard for me to get dressed in the morning. When you wake up to this, it’s extremely difficult to get your ass out of bed in the morning ):

A few weeks ago me and mom did a random walk through Ikea and ended up buying this amazing 3 tier tea-party tray thing for me and Nanniez’s jewellery!

CUTE right? It’s so perfect and I can’t believe we never got it earlier.

You may have been wondering what that thing was dangling up there…and its….my…PIGGY! hehaehahe PB got it for me ages ago cos I love pigs (like…love…pigs) and I came home to find him tied up with a big bow! Lol my mom did that…HOW CUTE IS MY MOM? hehehe anyway piggy is a little dirty cos i used to carry him around with me in my laptop case :D

I recently got these bangles from Accessorize. YES, the amazing jewellery/accessory store from England has finally opened up shop in Hong Kong!!! The other day I tried to go in to the new store in IFC and DUDE that place was PACKED, i literally couldn’t even get in…I’ll have to try my luck again maybe this weekend. Their stuff is reasonably price and they have such a huge range of stuff from your boho hippie bangles/earrings to cute Parisienne themed items. They even have a cute little section for little girls with things like little coin purses and KEYCHAINS (Me and Nanz were eyeing this MONKEY keychain lol).

I am in love with the denim trend. Wore the same outfit out the day after but with blue jeans instead – full on Candian Tuxedo, to which PB sends me this, do i have the best boyfriend ever or what?

Wore the first outfit out to get some Mexican last week with some friends. In case you didn’t know, Mexican is definitely my favourite cuisine..right after Chinese and Japanese. I truly and sincerely miss Chipotle sfm.

Wore the second outfit out last night to a dinner and movie date with PB. So……..yeah got the Sam Edelman Zoes. I couldn’t resist since the ladies over at Solestruck offered me such a great deal on them. They’re definitely NOT as comfortable as I thought they’d be cos of the height. Perhaps I just need to wear them in more since height is normally no problem as I think I’m pretty good at running in my 5″ Ash wedges.

Still not sure about the colour editting of my photos..having so much trouble with how I want them to look like. Excuse me while I continue to experiment k?

DIY safety pin necklace

DIY spike cuff, random black studded cuff bracelet, Cartier tank francaise, random gold studded bracelet and black Agatha ring.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo it’s been the longest time since I’ve updated the blog but for a while I was really bored of my closet and had nothing to wear, especially in the sort of in-between-season weather HK was having a few weeks back..and then this last week I’ve been super sick with bronchitis mixed with my usual asthma..and I’m still not really over it yet – still coughing like a 60 year old smoker and it sucks like shit.

ooooooooookay so enough of that complaining. Nothing else has really been going on lately. Well PB finally got a TV for his apartment..it was unexpectedly huge and now makes his apartment look tiny haha. We also got this super awesome Lack TV table from Ikea for HK$249..about US$30 which is dirt cheap. God I love Ikea..and when me and PB go, we don’t do the 500DOS thing..more like we pick out everything we would have in our future giant apartment/mansion.

Oh yah and this H&M dress in these pics are a new-ish buy. It’s kinda hole-y and awesome. I got the largest size cos I wanted to wear it as a dress but the knit is kinda heavy so it gets kinda..droopy after a long wear. Also, the knitted loops keep getting caught on my bag making them pull but I guess the hole-ier the better?

Oh so i finally got a pair of polka dot tights. I’d been looking for these for ages and I never thought to just check H&M duhhhhh. My jumungo thighs stretch the polka dots out so PB thought the dots were HANDS lol.

We went to this really good dimsum place called Che in Wan Chai where they’re famous for these CHA SIU CHAN BAO. No idea what the English translations are but they’re basically like cha siu baos (pork buns) but with the sort of bor lo bao (pineapple bun) outer layer. Too bad I don’t eat pork..but I do rmb back in the day that these are seriously good. For a meal with 9 people, we ordered 15 buns haha.

I recently picked up some very awesome supplies to make these new DIY studded cuff and necklace. I’ve worn the cuff a couple of times and since the studs are plastic, they’re not painful or anything and its very comfortable. The necklace is something simple and kind of subtle. I haven’t worn this one out yet but I wear a lot of black so most of the time you can’t see when I wear black necklaces on black tops but this would look awesome worn with a plain white tee.

BTW, I’ve noticed a few people saying that I should start an Etsy store or something for all the stuff I make. Well I’ve been thinking about this whole store thing for a really long time..and I do have something in the works but for now, if there is something you see that you would like, feel free to shoot me an email letting me know which item you like and we can discuss pricing etc. I’m also open to customization..so if there’s something you like but wish it was different in some way, I’m always open to hearing suggestions.

After seeing this CKane for Topshop tote on a couple of blogs I had to make a stop by the insanely awesome Page-One bookstore and pick up a copy myself. I don’t think you get this in America or Europe but in Japan they always have these catalogue-magazines of different brands’ collections and most of the time they come with some sort of free gift. Usually the gift is kinda of shitty quality but I was surprised this CKane tote isn’t toooo bad. Definitely not too shabby for Denise!

AND FINALLY, this sort of thing has been popping up here and there on the blogosphere but ever since I picked up my first issue of Nylon back in like early 2005, their last page has always been my favourite feature. I’ve been meaning to do this sort of thing for the longest time but I’m never at home during the day to get good light.
