Some time during Chinese New Year break, Nanz FINALLY made some time for me in her busy schedule to FINALLY go out to Lane Crawford‘s new Library Café on Canton Road. Of course “time for me” meant mom came along too and so did Jess and even my brother too. The Library Cafe is situated at the very end of the newly renovated Shoe Library (the only place where you are tempted to sell your soul for an endless amount of…well..soles HAR HAR HAR HAR /endofcheeseballs).

The Café is a curation of the best food and drinks from local Hong Kong eateries as well as some international food brands. The setting is super chill and the modern interior fit with an extra long communal marble top table and glorious hanging exposed bulbs adds a hint of relaxed luxury. We drowned ourselves in endless refills of Fortnum & Mason teas and indulged in two mini cakes from Ms B’s Cakery. The Café also serves a selection of food and drinks from Petite Amanda, Yardbird, Boissier, fashion-themed cupcakes and cookies designed by Deseree Smith and many more.

How was everyone’s Chinese New Year? I know it was a couple of weeks ago now but I thought I’d wish everyone anyway :) As a tradition we always go to the Victoria Park Chinese New Year Flower Market! It’s kind of a love/hate thing for me…cos the crowds are insane and people are so pushy/shovey but then it’s fun to see all the stupid shit they’re selling and to buy our pretty CNY flowers!

HIYA guys, it’s me Sha, otherwise always captioned on this blog as CLN (cute little nanz). For those of you that are wondering, YES we are sisters and YES we are twinsies….born 14 months apart because ninniez was JUST too desperate to see the world she popped out first. And I was SOOOO hungry and greedy I decided to stay inside for 14 months longer.

Last week we met up to take a good ol’ granny trip to the knitting store in Causeway Bay. Nanz was looking for some chunky yarn and drumstick size needles to work on a project that I’m sure she will be blogging about soon. Along the way we also discovered this CLS (cute little store) which I forgot the name of but had a bunch of really cool stuff “imported from Korea”. I’ve been eyeing a pair of sweatpants from the CLS buuuuuttttt the price tag seemed a bit unfriendly for my taste.

As per usual, we ended up wearing the same color scheme without planning it, as those with twinsies sisters would know, GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE.

Sometime last week us Lais got together with the mother and had lunch at Doppio Zero. Known for their homemade pastas and seasonal ingredients, I had the calamari linguini which was uber yums – the calamari was fried in what appeared to be baby bits of couscous-like batter. Nanz ordered their own version of bolognese sauce and the waiter informed us would be a white sauce, to which we all replied “HURR??????”. Any meal with free dessert can’t go wrong, the result of mom batting her eyelashes at the waiter and giggling flirtatiously in her man voice. LOL!!! Thanks Doppio Zero!
