I’m such a tomboy at heart. Everyone always says that right? Like “Oh when I was young I was such an ugly tomboy”..ok when I say everyone I really just mean super pretty “models” and actresses who yknow, have “grown” out of their ugly phase. Don’t get me wrong, I love me an a-line poofy high-waisted granny style skirt with some serious heels but really, me in some cool camo pants, a tshirt and a sweet jacket and that’ll be my happiest. When I’m getting dressed, I always make sure I balance out the tomboy-ness with a hit of girlyness: loose cuffed trousers with sweet leopard print flats or a long girly maxi skirt with messed up Vans on my feet.

A couple of weeks ago Will from BDGA store in Boston contacted me to do a feature and all my former “sneakerfiend/streetwear” goosebumps we’re back and full of excitement. Immediately I headed for the cool as chips Bodega Varsity Jacket which was perfect cos I’d been wanting a baseball jacket for years now. When I received the jacket, you have no idea how excited I was to find the secret camo lining! I’m pretty sure my love for camo print is quite obvious now and my obsession is probably only going to become even crazier! I styled the jacket with of course my favourite camo pants and to strike the balance between boy and girl, I stomped around in my H&M x Marni platforms and accessorized with a vintage Chanel purse and my new super cool Henry Holland x Le Specs muffin shades.

Love when friends come back home to visit, it’s like a holiday for me too cos we always go eat the yummiest foods or go to places I’ve never even been to. Like this trip, one of my longest friends ever (since P2′s) came back to visit again and all we did was major hotpot feast, chill at Olympian City (never been there), drunken karaoke until 6am and we even had an impromptu coffee time with one of our primary school friends that I hadn’t seen for about 15 years!

The more and more I “grow up”, I come to realize how many people I hate lol. Well not hate, but as a growing adult, there are so many people around me who I can’t believe act the way they do. At least a few times a week I think to myself “are you SERIOUS? You’re 25+ and you act/talk/do shit like that?”. Me and Mo have decided that everyone is crazy and weird and that we should just run away and live on our own little island with our crazy dogs, cats and pigs.

So here’s an instant update with some photos that just happened no more than 2 hours ago! Super speedy huh? Which is like a first for me!

Went to go meet my girlfriends at the super yums Linguini Fini at The L Place, where Christing and Dan joined us later on. The spot used to be one of my faaaaaaaaaaavourite restaurants, Cantopop (which I’m sure everyone who follows me on twitter/instagram knowsss how much I love) and has now been taken over and expanded by one of their sister restaurants, Linguini Fini. They serve a great mix of homey Italian/Western food (uhh..calamari and buffalo wings!!!) and the environment is just so relaxed and chill there. Today the service at the new downstairs area was so-so..not that the waiters weren’t extra friendly..which of course they were, just that the food took way longer than it should’ve taken to get into our hungry bellies! I always enjoy the food there or at any other ihm restaurant cos they use all homegrown foods and all natural ingredients and it helps that everything is actually really affordable!

I stopped by early for Happy Hour (2 for 1 drinks yay!) and throughout the night me and my friends (4 of us) shared TWO mini plates of LF buffalo wings, TWO plates of fried calamari and….TWO pizzas!!! Well…we WERE there for like almost 4 hours so….we get hungry when we’re sipping on a million different cocktails!! The drinks there are really affordable too (about $58 per glass) and the best one (out of all the millions that we ordered) was the Good Thyme Lemonade which has gin (my favourite old lady alcohol), thyme sugar and fresh lemon..mmmm I think I had like 6 glasses of these? aahahah well…heavy drinking and being able to hold our liquor runs in my family..it’s a gift and a curse really…le sigh.

The weather’s been kinda up and down lately…some days semi-cold but yesterday was just down right sweltering! It was so hot that it felt like Summer was back..which I actually hate…Today was nice though, just wore a tank and my trusty old leather jacket.
