So here’s an instant update with some photos that just happened no more than 2 hours ago! Super speedy huh? Which is like a first for me!

Went to go meet my girlfriends at the super yums Linguini Fini at The L Place, where Christing and Dan joined us later on. The spot used to be one of my faaaaaaaaaaavourite restaurants, Cantopop (which I’m sure everyone who follows me on twitter/instagram knowsss how much I love) and has now been taken over and expanded by one of their sister restaurants, Linguini Fini. They serve a great mix of homey Italian/Western food (uhh..calamari and buffalo wings!!!) and the environment is just so relaxed and chill there. Today the service at the new downstairs area was so-so..not that the waiters weren’t extra friendly..which of course they were, just that the food took way longer than it should’ve taken to get into our hungry bellies! I always enjoy the food there or at any other ihm restaurant cos they use all homegrown foods and all natural ingredients and it helps that everything is actually really affordable!

I stopped by early for Happy Hour (2 for 1 drinks yay!) and throughout the night me and my friends (4 of us) shared TWO mini plates of LF buffalo wings, TWO plates of fried calamari and….TWO pizzas!!! Well…we WERE there for like almost 4 hours so….we get hungry when we’re sipping on a million different cocktails!! The drinks there are really affordable too (about $58 per glass) and the best one (out of all the millions that we ordered) was the Good Thyme Lemonade which has gin (my favourite old lady alcohol), thyme sugar and fresh lemon..mmmm I think I had like 6 glasses of these? aahahah well…heavy drinking and being able to hold our liquor runs in my family..it’s a gift and a curse really…le sigh.

The weather’s been kinda up and down lately…some days semi-cold but yesterday was just down right sweltering! It was so hot that it felt like Summer was back..which I actually hate…Today was nice though, just wore a tank and my trusty old leather jacket.

Oh man has this week been a special one! I am sososososososososo lucky and honoured that I was invited to dinner with none other than everybody-and-their-mom’s favourite style icon Taylor Tomasi Hill! Along with Sarah Rutson, TTH designed a mini capsule collection of 7 pieces exclusively for Lane Crawford. She was in town for just a few days (her first time in Asia!!) to style some displays for LC and to basically introduce her little collection! Along with Sha, Carmen and Tania, we went to the LC SS12 Press Preview to look at all the upcoming goodies for Spring Summer and we actually got to meet Taylor earlier in the day. We did a little sit down chit-chat with her where me and Sha asked her a bunch of fun questions..but more on that later though!

So yes that night I was one of the lucky few who was invited to attend the dinner with Taylor and some other super stylish people at Heirloom Eatery. I was a bit nervous at first cos I thought I wouldn’t know anyone who was going but luckily, Cindy, Christina and Virginia (of HKFashionGeek) were attending too! UNluckily though, the seating was assigned but I happily sat (at one head of the table) next to Stinger and Han Huo Huo, with Virginia not too far away. Anyway so dinner was fun, the food was quite good (especially the sweet potato fries and the fun dessert at the end!) and it was great hearing funny stories from Sarah Rutson, Taylor and attempting (more like pretending) to understand everyone around me’s Mandarin conversation, (ahem complete fail).

Welcome to my second NY post! Woke up extra bright and early on a super sunny but freezing day to trek my frozen ass down to the LES to meet Carmen for brunch at..dun dun dun Clinton Street Bakery! Oh man it is always a definite must-eat if anyone is ever in NY or even if you just live there. It helped that I used to live LITERALLY 2 blocks away from there..the food seriously never disappoints. The only insane thing is waiting for a table (along with the 100000 tourists), especially when it feels like -1000 degrees outside.

It’s almost a sin not to order the pancakes when you’re at CSB. Blueberries are mixed right into the batter and their syrup is like some heavenly next level type of syrup shit. SO GOOD. Along with our stack of pancakes, me and Carmen also shared a huevos rancheros (another one of my favourite dishes OF ALL TIME AT ANY RESTAURANT EVER) (can you tell I love Mexican food?) and a sideorder of sweet potaterrrr fries!

P.P.S. Oh yah so this was the only day that I did an outfit shot and only cos Carmen helped me take them! This was pretty much how I dressed the whole time in NY…thick scarf, black pants and substituting my leather jacket for my thick ass wooly duffle coat.
