Had an awesome day out with the girls on Saturday. Our day started with a yum cha feast at noon followed by a day of shopping and walking around then capping the day off with a mountain of Singaporean food from Kitchen 65 and a quick drink at Finds in TST. These full on girly days don’t come around as often as they should but when they do they’re always chock full of food, shopping and lots of laughs (especially when Debbie’s back!)

Debuting my new Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses! Before my eyes were condemned to wearing glasses, my sunglasses collection was just about kicking off. Back in those delightful sunny days, I read that Nicole Richie collected sunglasses and I thought what an awesome thing to collect! Not long after I decided to start collecting, my eyes broke down and my eye doctor told me to never wear contacts again (屮ﾟДﾟ)屮 WHY GOD WHY. ANYWAY, my eyes got better within a year but now I’m only allowed to wear contacts occasionally so every now and then I’ll whip out a fresh pair of sunnies for the day :) Right now I have about 15 or so in my collection which is a mix of designer labels and some low-end fast fashion brands too. I’ll try to gather them up for a pic one day!

P.S. in case anyone was wondering, the model number of the D&G sunnies are 4103 and here’s a random link.

Oh and I also picked up a new ring the other day. I think I need about 908 fingers to be able to wear all my rings all at once…My ring collection is also something that I should probably gather up and photograph one day…

Stuff I’m into lately:
• My new super hardcore but equally cute at the same time ironic skull bracelet. They all look constantly SHOCKED!
• My 3 silver David Yurman bracelets that my mom got for me and nanz (matching!) as our late graduation presents. The one far left is black diamond, cos we juz balluhz like dat.
• My mom’s camel coat that she got like 20 yrs ago and never even worn (tag still on). Used to be ankle length but I got it chopped.
• Pairing our huge red scarf with everything and using it as a blanket at work.
• Long skirts with chunky sweaters and sneakers.
• The awesome super sunny but nice and cold weather Hong Kong’s been having lately.

Nutella Coconut Brownies! These are like the simplest brownies ever; they literally only require 4 ingredients (flaked coconut optional). They did come out a bit on the dry side but I completely blame my shitty-ass oven. It can literally only fit a baking try that’s smaller than A4/lettersize paper and only really cooks the back right corner. WTF.

While we were waiting for the brownies, nanz was eating banana dipped in Nutella!

Of course this could only happen in a floral princess apron!

I was feeding Obi his favourite carrots and this was what his face was like the whole time. I SWEAR his hair on his ears were naturally staying up like that.

Congratulations to Monica and xr/helloxr! I will be emailing you guys to let you know about receiving your gifts! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who entered and I really wish everyone could’ve won at least something small! I’m having a good year so far so maybe I’ll have another giveaway sometime soon!

P.S. thinking of a blog overhaul. A new year should have a new layout. Any thoughts/comments/critiques on what it should/currently looks like?

Few Saturdays ago I spent the day with ninz around our favourite shopping place, Causeway Bay. We walked and window-shopped forever and ended up getting matching sandals for Summer :D I finally got to wear out my Forever 21 sunglasses (the A.Wang inspired ones) that Lynn managed to help me get from Singapore (yay!) and wore out my new polka dot jumpah rumpah (which is what my mom calls a rhomper and thus what I shall forever onwards call a rhomper). Lately I’ve been falling for everything polka dot and have my eye on a million and one new things that I want (uhh what’s new huh?). I’m so glad May is already almost over..before we know it, my next paycheque will be ready for me to deposit :D

Browsing through Izzue always ends with a snack from Sogo. Normally I hate bananas. I hate their smell, I hate the taste and I definitely deteste the mushiness. BUTTTTTTTT, bananas plus Nutella in a crepe? The ONLY time I’ll eat real bananas.

Of course Nanz the piglet had to also get a peach mochi from Mochi Cream.

Way back on Mother’s Day, we took ma mere out to lunch at Agnes B Le Pain Grille on Leighton Road. We absolutely LOVE Agnes B LPG Cafe so taking mother nature out to the actual restaurant was a must.

Just as a side note, the lunchset was $198HK for an appetizer/soup + main + tea/coffee + one of Agnes B signature cakes/pastries. SO freaking worth it!! We were all stuffed to the brim and fully fully satisfied.

The cute little French-like interior was a great setting for us. It’s just so cosy and homey in there. Of course our table (out of only about 10-ish tables) was the loudest and everyone would look at us when we all burst out laughing like we owned the place. We also managed to stay there for like 3 hours!

LOL mom’s the best. My brother was like “no mom, noo, you have to do the GANGSTAH pose like this!”

and of course she did it hahahahahahahaha

Now for the food. The warm little bread rolls were so amazing. They had the classic Agnes B icons baked onto them. And of course, in true Lai form, we managed to rip through about 4 of these bread baskets.

Skipping rigghhtt past my soup (Cream of Broccoli) straight to my STEAK. I had the Grilled Prime Rib Eye topped with Café de Paris with roasted potatos and veggies.
