TEA FOR YOU, TEA FOR ME

23 April, 2011 | accessories, daily life, food, gifs, hong kong, mama, outfit, pb

H&M men’s stripe tee, Zara trousers, Prada flats, vintage/mom’s Chanel bag.

Was feeling rather French in this outfit: stripes, ballet flats, Chanel! Love this bag from my mom, it’s the perfect soft quilted diamond leather with super cute Chanel button and clasp hardware with a quilted diamond leather strap. Only problem is that it’s a tad too small to fit all my usual crap that I normally lug around with me in my giant bags (uhh who needs 4 packet of tissues at all times? apparently I do..). I think this was from the early 90s? Me and nanz are really really lucky that mama is one stylin’ lady and keeps and shares all her goodies with us. I’m also so thankful that bags and accessories are one size fits all!

We’re on a much-needed 4 day public holiday here in HK for Easter. Feels so great to do absolutely nothing but relax and spend time with PB/family. Yesterday, we (I mean PB..) got a new PS3 and we were playing Little Big Planet 2…..sooooooooooooooo fun!

L-R: 3 David Yurman bangles, random skull bracelet, American Eagle neon braided bracelet, random rhinestone and Tag Heuer vintage watch.

Fixing those beautiful locks.

Giant lomos in Times Square!

Today, day 2 of our public holiday, me, pb and mama went for afternoon high tea at Café Gray at the new-ish boutique hotel Upperhouse. The tea-set was pretty great and personally, I thought the savoury tidbits were better than the sweet. The scones, however, we’re not so enjoyable. I mean they were alright, not too dry or flakey but still not the best that I’ve had. Personally, my favourite scones are to be demolished and vacuumed down at either Palace IFC Café or at Clipper Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental (which I actually haven’t been to in ages エェェ(´д`)ェェエ ) but then again, I have barely tried all the high-tea places in HK…on my way there though!

So squinty? Also my mom is currently in luuUUuuUUrrRRrrRRvvvVVvvVeeEEeeEE with colour-blocking. Yesterday she wore the inverse of this: a corally-orange top with a royal blue cardigan. So ~trendy~

Those lemon poppyseed little diddies in the bottom right corner were quite ~heavenly~

Skwurrr skonez~

This marinated beef fried wonton was guhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmayzing. Seriously so good I wanted a whole tea set of JUST those.

The bathroom! I swear HK has the besssst fancy bathrooms. I’m thinking of making a fuckyeahhongkongbathrooms tumblr? thoughts? anyone wanna help contribute?

In the garden!

Wearing the exact same thing as yesterday but with a different stripeh top (from Monki).

Love all the stripes; definitely feeling the French vibe. Pulled off brilliantly, may I add ;) I’ve got a v.v.similar top to the H&M one except mine’s from Whistles… should have just checked out H&M first! x
